A painting dismissed for years as the work of an unknown artist has been identified as a piece by Vincent Van Gogh.

They matched pigment from the painting to others by him. An X-ray reveals that he painted a very formal art-school ish painting underneath, which he describes in a letter to a bro. Can you say smoking gun?
